Brave Phone is a partner in the two-year EU project “The Right (s) Court for Children”, along with organisations from Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy and Great Britain. The project aims to raise awareness and improve children’s knowledge of their rights in court proceedings (whether they appear in court as victims, perpetrators or witnesses) and to promote and support child-friendly justice practices.
As part of the project, an educational online game for children on the theme of their rights in court proceedings will be designed and developed, based on the ideas and recommendations of children. After the test phase, the game will be distributed in different EU countries and promoted through teaching activities.
In addition to the development of the game, there will also be visits to courtrooms and workshops for children and judicial officials, in order to educate children about their rights and also raise awareness about child protection issues among employees. The project was launched in October 2015 and a total of 38 students from two secondary schools in Zagreb (Prva gimazija and Grafička škola) were involved in these activities.
